Simplicity Credit Union in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Member Relationship Representative to provide exceptional service and grow member relationships. The role focuses on onboarding new members and expanding existing relationships through offering additional products and services.

You will review credit reports, handle lending inquiries, and process card/line applications while engaging in outbound sales to meet team targets. A friendly, collaborative approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new members and grow Simplicity's relationship with existing members.
• Issue new accounts for existing members and add joint members with HSAs, IRAs, trusts.
• Review member credit reports to identify lending opportunities.
• Conduct follow-up via phone, email or text as preferred by the member.
• Process credit card and flex line applications and outbound sales calls.
• Promote additional loan products and services to improve members' financial lives.
• Collaborate across departments to maintain positive, productive relationships.

Position Summary

A Member Relationship Representative is responsible for exceptional service through interactions with members by resolving problems, enhancing the member relationship, and answering questions covering the entire spectrum of Simplicity Credit Union’s products and services. The primary responsibility of this position is the onboarding of new members and increasing Simplicity’s relationship with existing members. This position is part of a dedicated sales team, working to achieve sales goals and overall growth goals for the Credit Union.

This position will always project a positive and friendly image for the credit union through interactions with members and co-workers. This position will work out of our Stevens Point Branch.

• Issuing new accounts for existing members and adding joint members with the additional competencies of HSAs, IRAs, trusts, death accounts, member complaints, assisting with lending servicing inquiries, closing loans and online loan applications (when necessary).
• Primary responsibilities are onboarding new members and increasing Simplicity’s relationship with members by offering additional products and services.
• Reviewing member credit reports to recognize lending opportunities to best fit the member’s needs.
• Conducting follow-up contact with members via phone, email, or text based on the member’s preferred communication method.
• Process credit card and flex line applications.
• Outbound sales calls as assigned.
• Seek out opportunities to enhance the members’ experience by recognizing and presenting additional loan opportunities or offering products and services that would improve the members’ financial lives.
• Reinforce continuous collaboration and respectful communication between all departments by promoting strong, positive, and productive working relationships through commitment to the company’s core values, vision and mission statements.

Competencies

• High school education or GED and one to three years of similar or related experience.
• Sales experience preferred.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A high degree of mental concentration to interpret and act upon a wide range of situations, even under pressure.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail, ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
• Must be friendly and able to represent the Credit Union in a professional and positive manner.

Compensation:

Starting base pay of $18.63 per hour based on experience, with earning potential of up to $27.95 per hour.

*The final offer will be based on experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.

This position is also eligible for a monthly production incentive payout as well as a yearly company performance bonus payout.
