Job summary

Corning Credit Union is seeking a Member Relationship Consultant for our Carolina Forest, SC location to develop strong member relationships and provide one-stop service with sales and financial guidance.

The role requires 1–3 years in sales or relationship building, a bachelor’s degree preferred, strong communication, and the ability to meet lending, deposit and service goals. Bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required.

• Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned.

Role Summary:

As a Member Relationship Consultant, you will be responsible for developing strong, lasting member relationships while utilizing flexibility and effective sales skills to provide “one-stop” service to our members.

Essential Job Duties

• Maintains comprehensive knowledge of our products and services to provide exceptional service and education to our members, while assisting them in meeting our vast lending, deposit, and electronic products and services needs.
• Assists members with completing membership and visa loan requests.
• Has solid cash handling skills and procedural knowledge in order to perform a variety of teller functions.
• Answers incoming calls from members and assist in processing a variety of account transactions and support including transferring funds, issuing checks, processing payments, ordering checks, etc.
• Also assumes responsibility for other projects or duties as required or assigned.

Education Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred, commensurate work experience will also be considered.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.

Experience Requirements

• 1-3 years of sales or relationship building skills is required.

Communication Skills Requirements

• The ability to read and comprehend moderate to advanced instructions and correspondence.
• The ability to write moderate to advanced correspondence within professional etiquette standards.
• The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations.
• The ability to effectively communicate loan decisions and navigate sensitive situations.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required.
