Job Posting Title Member Outreach Coordinator - RemoteJob Description

Responsible for proactively managing all outbound calls to members and providers in order to coordinate timely evaluation of members and if appropriate delivery of member medication. This position requires the highest level of communication competence coupled with the highest professional demeanor. Must have extensive knowledge as it relates to operational policies and procedures. Responsible for assessing the callers needs and providing solutions or triaging it to the appropriate department or individual as needed. Additionally, responsible for all tasks and documentation required to manage members information as it relates to setting the member up for service and/or delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Makes timely and proactive outreach to members, and providers as appropriate.
  • Actively listens and identifies caller needs.
  • Researches and provides timely solutions to caller with a high degree of professionalism.
  • Assists with the maintenance of member profiles including but not limited to member demographics and provider information to ensure member records are complete and accurate.
  • Assists Customer Care Associates and provides guidance with complex issues.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned by operations manager and department supervisor.
  • Setting up member appointments and transferring clinical calls to nursing line.
  • Managing Queue maintenance.
  • Active participation in training programs.

Education & Experience

  • HS Diploma or GED is required
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service environment
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Additional Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience and must understand medical terminology and diagnostic codes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in mail order or specialty pharmacy.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to "move or traverse"
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and/or other office productivity equipment
  • Must be able to hear and constantly communicate information and ideas. Must be able to exchange accurate information
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
