Descrizione del lavoro

As a Member of Technical Staff (Simulation), you will be a foundational engineer owning customer system onboarding end-to-end. You will take ambiguous, real-world robotic systems, environments, and multi-modal sensors and translate them into validated, physics-based digital twin simulations.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will build high-fidelity sensor models from first principles and work directly with physical robot telemetry to bring simulation fidelity to near-100% accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-End System Onboarding: Own the full pipeline of ingesting physical robots, complex operational environments, and sensor configurations into our cloud simulation engine.
  • Sensor & Physics Calibration: Build, tune, and calibrate physics-based simulation models for diverse sensing modalities (cameras, LiDAR, Radar, UV, thermal/IR) from first principles.
  • Sim-to-Real Validation: Define test suites and quantitative benchmarks to validate simulation fidelity against real-world hardware telemetry.
  • Tooling & Automation: Architect high-performance internal tools and automation scripts in Python to make system onboarding repeatable and scalable.
  • Direct Customer Technical Integration: Collaborate hands-on with autonomy teams to tune edge-case behaviors and bring digital twins to production grade.
What We’re Looking For
  • Deep Robotics Simulation Ownership: Proven track record building, calibrating, and validating physics-based simulations against real hardware.
  • Simulation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Omniverse / Isaac Lab (strongly preferred), or extensive depth in MuJoCo or Gazebo.
  • Python Proficiency: Strong Python skills for tooling, automation, data analysis, and calibration scripts.
  • Experience & Credentials: 5+ years of professional robotics/hardware simulation experience (or PhD/research credentials in Sim2Real / Robot Learning from a top-tier lab).
  • Education: Degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Nice-to-Haves: Low-level programming in C++ or Rust; experience with non-visible sensing modalities (radar, LiDAR, thermal/IR).
