Parallel Web Systems is seeking a seasoned engineer to build and operate the systems behind its large-scale full-text web index. You will influence what enters the corpus, design the storage and retrieval structures, and shape signals that judge source quality and freshness.

You will optimize latency, cost, and scalability, partnering across teams to ensure queries are served quickly and reliably as demand grows. This in-person role supports our Palo Alto and San Francisco offices.

Formación

• Deep intuition on information retrieval, distributed systems, and performance tuning.
• Ability to reason about trade-offs between classical and neural retrieval, and between cost, reliability, and latency.
• Interest in infrastructure that can support products used by millions without breaking a sweat.

You will anticipate bottlenecks before they appear and ensure the architecture evolves to meet increasing demand.
