Job summary

Prime Intellect is building an open frontier AI platform and Prime Agent, a generalist software engineering role spanning product development and agent systems. You will own features end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring, shipping at the pace of an early-stage company tackling frontier AI challenges.

This role is based in our San Francisco office. Candidates must be based in San Francisco and work in person.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering skills in TypeScript and Python.
• Experience building developer tools, dashboards, platform products, and working with agent harnesses.
• Strong product judgment and attention to user experience, with the ability to turn complex capabilities into intuitive workflows.
• Experience building reliable systems with asynchronous execution and real-time interactions.
• Awareness of what's happening at the frontier - new models, agent capabilities, and tooling - and the ability to translate that into product decisions.
• A bias toward shipping, ownership of production code, and pragmatic engineering judgment.

Prime Intellect is building the open superintelligence stack: the infrastructure frontier AI labs build internally, made available to every ambitious AI team.

Our platform, Lab, unifies compute, environments, evaluations, secure sandboxes, high-performance training, and deployment into one full-stack system for post-training at frontier scale - from SFT and RL to tool use, agent workflows, and continuously improving production models. We are building open frontier AI: open-source models trained end to end for long-horizon tasks like autonomous research, and the full-stack platform our own research team uses to build them. The next generation of AI companies, enterprises, and research teams do not just need more GPUs. They need the ability to turn their own workflows, tools, data, and feedback loops into superintelligence they own.

Role Impact

You'll help build Prime Agent, our open-source coding and research agent. This is a generalist software engineering role spanning product development and the underlying agent systems. You'll own features end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring, and ship at the pace of an early-stage company tackling one of the most important problems in AI.

This role is based in our San Francisco office. Candidates must be based in San Francisco and work in person. This is not a remote role and is not open in other locations.

Technical Requirements
