Job summary

Armadin in Palo Alto is seeking an experienced backend systems engineer to design and build core platform services, APIs, and data pipelines for enterprise customers. You will own architecture, deployment, and operation in production, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

You will collaborate with product security researchers and customers to turn requirements into well-designed infrastructure, with a high bar for security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and scaling production systems.
• Deep experience designing and operating end-to-end backend systems (services, APIs, data pipelines).
• Hands-on experience with identity and access management or platform extensibility.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ownership in fast-changing environments.
• Ability to work directly with customers and translate business needs into technical deliverables.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

At Armadin, we're a group of engineers, researchers, and security researchers on a mission to redefine what proactive security can do in the AI era. What You’ll Do

• Design and build the foundational systems that enable Armadin to serve the world’s largest and most demanding enterprises — identity, access management, integration points, and the extensibility customers need to embed Armadin into their existing ecosystems.
• Own core platform services end to end: architecture, implementation, deployment, and operation in production.
• Ensure the platform scales across organizations, regions, and use cases while maintaining performance, reliability, and simplicity for customers with complex environments and strict security requirements.
• Set and uphold a high bar for security, compliance readiness, and operational excellence across the systems you build — enterprise customers trust Armadin with their most sensitive workflows and data.
• Partner closely with product, security researchers, and customers to turn ambiguous enterprise requirements into shipped, well-designed infrastructure.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of industry experience building and scaling complex, data-heavy production systems.
• Deep experience designing and operating end-to-end backend systems — services, APIs, data pipelines, and the infrastructure underneath them.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of: identity and access management, multi-tenancy, enterprise integrations, or platform extensibility.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and comfort working through ambiguous, fast-changing problems with a high degree of ownership.
• Ability to work directly with customers and translate business needs into technical deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Even Better With

• Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production (experience developing AI agents a plus).
• Background in security, compliance-sensitive infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS platforms.
• Experience as a founder, tech lead, or early-stage startup builder with high ownership and urgency.
• Prior experience with Python, TypeScript, React, and/or C++.
