Job Overview

The MTS's role is to design, validate, and deploy advanced technical solutions supporting T-Mobile’s network evolution, with a focus on 5G applications, cloud networking, and DevOps. Responsibilities include architecting solutions across infrastructure and platform layers, including OpenStack, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and GCP, supporting 5G Core, MEC, IoT, network slicing, and FWA. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, develop automation tools, and optimize cloud-native network functions, requiring expertise in NFV, SBA, and cloud networking. Strong communication skills and experience with ONAP, ETSI MANO, and 5G telco deployments are a plus.

Job Responsibilities

1. Technical System Expertise: Understanding system parameters and configurations, identifying weaknesses, and designing complex network solutions.
2. Technical Engineering Services: Leading engineering projects, supervising engineers, and presenting to executive teams.
3. Innovation: Developing new ideas to improve systems and representing T-Mobile in industry forums.
4. Technical Writing: Creating detailed technical documentation and contributing to industry publications.
5. Technical Leadership: Influencing industry standards, mentoring, and influencing technology decisions.
6. Technology Strategy: Researching and proposing new technology options for business transformation.
7. Supplemental Functions: Network planning, performance optimization, capacity analysis, and deployment of network technologies.

Education and Experience

• Master's or higher degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Required)
• 9+ years of technical engineering experience (Required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and support multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Experience with NFV, CNFs, SBA, orchestration frameworks, and 5G deployments.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S., at least 18 years old.

Additional Details

Travel required: Yes. This is not a DOT-regulated position.

Base salary range: $121,900 - $220,000, with a 20% bonus target. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
