Why this role? As a Member of Technical Staff at Cohere, you will be at the forefront of shaping AI-powered products, translating research into high-performance enterprise solutions, particularly working on North, our secure AI workspace platform, focusing on agent development in RAG, tool use, and language agents.

You Will:

  • Design, build, and scale AI systems supporting our enterprise products.
  • Work on North, driving agent development in RAG, tool use, and language agents.
  • Research and experiment with new ideas on our supercomputer infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers to create and evaluate data for post-training LLMs.
  • Stay updated with AI research from top conferences.
  • Analyze product data to improve usage and relevance.
  • Align product strategies with company goals through close collaboration with leadership.

Ideal Candidates Have:

  • Strong software engineering skills, proficiency in Python and ML frameworks like TensorFlow, JAX.
  • Experience building and leading product teams, working with Large Language Models.
  • Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed training strategies.
  • Knowledge of autoregressive models like Transformers.
  • Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Publications in top-tier AI venues are a plus.
