As a NVEG Member of Technical Staff at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for leading and coaching highly technical teams, designing, and analyzing digital circuits used in the development of memory products. This role is highly technical, with additional leadership responsibilities. Your duties include simulating, optimizing, and floor planning NAND circuits. You will collaborate with groups inside the NVE-DE organization such as Project Teams and other Functional Teams (Analog, Core, Datapath, etc.), as well as external teams like Product Engineering, Device, System, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing. Your goal is to proactively design products that optimize manufacturing functions, ensuring the best cost, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for designing the on-chip memory controller for non-volatile memory products and validating designs at block, subsystem, and full-chip levels.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Contribute to the development of new memory products by leading the overall logic design of the on-chip memory controller, including all optimizations and pathfinding.

  • Responsible for meeting performance, area, and power targets.
  • Interpret device and system specifications to produce required functionality.
  • Participate in new circuit conception and design as needed.
  • Define and create design architecture specification documents for new features.
  • Assist in designing and developing schematics and RTL blocks.

Manage and Develop Projects and Teams (Leads)

  • Plan and organize projects, resources, and scheduling activities.
  • Serve as the main communication point for logic design and development for NAND products.
  • Track progress and monitor task completion.
  • Prepare project status reports for upper management.
  • Conduct code reviews and discuss project progress.
  • Mentor new hires and supervise their progress.
  • Create training programs for new team members.

Maintain Technical Expertise and Provide Training

  • Define best practices for design and verification and communicate them across the department.
  • Prepare detailed documentation as required.
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing candidates.
  • Create onboarding and ramp-up plans for new hires.
  • Engage in continuing education and competitor analysis.
  • Perform RTL and netlist verification at various levels.
  • Facilitate netlist bring-up to achieve basic functionality.
  • Create verification plans for features and check behavior in Verilog.
  • Collaborate on validation plans and review silicon results.
  • Assist in silicon design validation, reticle experiments, and tape-out revisions.

Contribute to Cross-Group Communication to Promote Standardization and Group Success

  • Work with various engineering groups to ensure manufacturability of products.
  • Proactively seek input from different groups such as standard cell development, simulation, and voltage teams.

The estimated US base salary range for this full-time position is:

$173,000 - $302,000

Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The actual salary offered depends on factors such as experience, skills, and education. Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses, and equity.
