Job summary

SaidGig is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to design and deploy LLM-based systems. You will build scalable APIs and microservices using Python, FastAPI, and AWS, while integrating LangChain to enable advanced model interactions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will translate complex problems into practical engineering solutions.

Qualifications

Role Overview

Build and optimize advanced AI systems that use large language models to create scalable, high-impact products. You will work with a fast-paced engineering team to turn complex mathematical, statistical, and physics-based problems into practical AI/ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions centered on LLMs using Python and AWS infrastructure.
• Architect scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices with FastAPI.
• Integrate LangChain and advanced AI frameworks to support innovative model-interaction capabilities.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate quantitative problem statements into actionable engineering solutions.
• Apply mathematics, statistics, or physics expertise to improve model performance, interpretability, and reliability.
• Maintain strong standards for code quality, documentation, and peer review.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts and project progress in writing and discussion.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or demonstrated expertise in mathematics, quantitative sciences, statistics, or physics.
• Expert-level Python proficiency for AI/ML engineering.
• Hands-on experience deploying, fine-tuning, and integrating LLMs.
• Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native machine learning workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI/ML solutions at production scale.
• Publications or open-source contributions in AI/ML, applied mathematics, or computational science.
• Familiarity with advanced prompt engineering or AI safety practices.

Work Terms

Full-time, remote role.

Compensation

Stated compensation range: $400, 000 to $800, 000 annually.

National base-salary range: $200, 000 to $260, 000 USD annually.
