This is a rare seat at an AI company that's actually working. Prentis AI (formerly Hive Labs) builds computer-use models — AI that operates real software the way people do — and puts them to work inside some of the largest companies in retail, healthcare, and manufacturing. About the role

"Member of Operations Staff" is a deliberately flat title. We care about what you can own, not your level — the role can fit someone a few years into their career or someone considerably more experienced, and it grows to match the person. What every version has in common is the core skill: you take messy, open-ended problems and turn them into things that run.

You’ll work across the whole company — recruiting, vendors, internal tooling, research, and the day-to-day operational work that keeps a fast team from tripping over itself. A lot of the job is building leverage with AI: automating the repetitive parts, standing up systems, and making everyone around you faster.

What you’ll do

• Own operational projects end to end — take something ambiguous, work out what needs to happen, and get it done without much oversight.
• Run recruiting operations: source and screen candidates, manage pipelines, and keep hiring moving.
• Evaluate and manage vendors and tools — do the research, run the comparison, make a recommendation, and handle the rollout.
• Build the internal systems that let a small company scale — SOPs, trackers, and documentation people actually use.
• Use AI tools to create leverage: automate repetitive work, build agents and workflows, and multiply what a small team can do.
• Do research and analysis that feeds real decisions — markets, competitors, customers, whatever the moment calls for.
• Take on whatever’s most urgent and least defined, and close it out.

• Strong writing and organization; you can turn a mess into a clear plan and a clean set of next steps.

Nice to have

• Startup or venture studio experience.
• A technical or analytical background — engineering, data, finance, or similar.
