Member Liaison Specialist, Behavioral Health – Bilingual Spanish / Job Req 805615172

Join Alameda Alliance for Health as a Member Liaison Specialist, Behavioral Health – Bilingual Spanish. This role involves managing intake and triage services for behavioral health and autism spectrum disorder (ABA) referrals via call center, online portals, and chat, ensuring members receive timely and appropriate care. The MLS will communicate effectively with members and partners, triaging referrals to suitable programs, including warm handoffs.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Handling incoming behavioral health requests through call and online platforms.
  • Ensuring privacy and security of PHI per HIPAA policies.
  • Accurate documentation compliant with regulations.
  • Providing excellent customer service and timely processing of requests.
  • Collaborating with management and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
  • Triaging and assessing members' needs, including crisis de-escalation.
  • Supporting members in securing follow-up care and community resources.
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation.
  • Meeting performance metrics related to efficiency, quality, and member satisfaction.

Physical & Other Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, work in a high-paced environment, and communicate effectively over the phone. Must be able to lift office supplies occasionally. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and influenza or qualify for exemptions.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma required; bachelor’s in behavioral health preferred; 2+ years in behavioral health or social services; bilingual in Spanish/English or other specified languages with proficiency assessment; experience with ASD or ABA services is a plus.

Salary Range: $40.02 - $60.03 per hour.
