Job summary

COCC in Ludlow, MA is seeking an experienced Originator to support consumer and residential lending activities. This role involves working directly with members, evaluating loan opportunities, and building referral partnerships.

You will handle loan applications from interview to decisioning, review documentation, evaluate creditworthiness, and originate mortgage, HELOC, construction and related products. On-site role with salary $60,000-$65,000.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience and/or training.
• Understanding of legal and regulatory lending requirements and loan documentation.
• Knowledge of consumer and residential lending practices.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process consumer loan applications from initial interview through decisioning.
• Gather and review loan documentation and supporting information.
• Evaluate creditworthiness, income, employment, collateral, and debt ratios.
• Approve loans within authority limits; present exceeding requests for approval.
• Originate mortgage, home equity, HELOC, construction, bridge and related lending products.
• Develop and maintain referral relationships with realtors, builders, developers, and members.
• Explain loan decisions and lending alternatives to members.
• Coordinate with internal departments and assist lending team members.
