Job summary

Empeople CU in Westbrook, Maine is seeking a Member Relationship Officer (Teller) to deliver exceptional service and meet members' financial needs in the branch lobby. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and account inquiries, while promoting digital banking and self-service tools.

The role emphasizes greeting members, educating on products, and performing routine servicing with accuracy and confidentiality. Weekend hours may be required in this customer-centric position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and two years of teller/cash handling experience.
• Ability to operate PC and financial software to process transactions.
• Strong communication and professional written/verbal communication.
• Willingness to work weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet members in the branch lobby professionally and provide high-quality service.
• Educate members about products and self-service options such as digital banking and remote deposit capture.
• Handle account servicing requests and process deposits, transactions, and inquiries.
• Answer questions, resolve issues within authority, and refer complex problems to Branch Operations Manager.
• Maintain cash handling routines, reconciling and balancing cash and records daily.
• Provide Notary services and ensure confidentiality and security of member information.
