Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in Jackson, CA seeks a Member Service Specialist II to join our branch team. This non-exempt role focuses on accurate transactions, member service, and building trusted financial guidance within the community.

You’ll process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and related duties, open deposit accounts, promote Golden 1 products, and support branch operations while upholding our core values and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of prior cash handling experience required.
• 6+ months as MSS I or teller at Golden 1 or another financial institution preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes and audits financial transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments and general ledger entries while maintaining a cash drawer.
• Provides Golden 1 services to member, including cashier’s checks, money orders, savings bonds, wire transfers and debit transactions.
• Assesses members needs while processing transactions.
• Identifies opportunities to help members with Golden 1 products or services and documents in EnAct system.
• Identifies and reports fraudulent activity to management and Financial Investigations dept., per procedures to prevent loss.
• Assists in operation of ATM and Teller Cash Dispenser units (replacing receipt cartridge, clearing blockages).
• Assists MSS III and above with open/close responsibilities as needed.
• Opens deposit and specialty accounts (e.g., Roth IRA) and identifies members’ financial service needs.
