Job summary

Verity Credit Union in Auburn is seeking a Full-Time Member Consultant I to join our branch team. The role involves handling in-branch transactions, educating members about products, and cross-selling services to enhance member financial well-being.

You will work on the teller line and at platform desks to ensure a seamless member experience and contribute to community-focused initiatives at Verity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 year experience in a financial institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Verity Experience Process in every member interaction.
• Listen to the member and understand their goals; identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Capture relevant information and input into our CRM system.
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently including wires, payments, and IRA distributions.
• Resolve member issues following policies and procedures.
• Originate, process, and fund consumer loans including credit cards and auto loans.
• Originate deposit accounts including checking, savings, money market, and CDs.
• Collaborate with team to meet sales, service and community goals.

The Member Consultant I enhances our members' lives by creating trusted relationships. The Member Consultant I handles all in-branch transactions and member service requests, opens secondary deposit accounts and non-real estate consumer loans, educates members on alternate ways to transact on their accounts, and cross-sells additional products and services that benefit members. This position will work on the teller line and at platform desks to ensure a seamless member experience.

• Base Pay: This position has a salary range of $23.67 (minimum) to $35.51 (maximum), with a midpoint of $29.59. Starting pay is offered based upon an applicant's experience and education relevant to the position.
• Commission / Incentive Pay: This position qualifies for monthly incentives.
• Paid Time Off: All Verity employees receive 11 paid holidays per year, as well as paid time off (PTO is combined vacation and sick leave.) PTO starts accruing immediately at a rate of 20 days per year.
• Benefits: Both full and part time employees (and their family) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, with a no cost option available for employee only coverage! Employees have the option to enroll in our 401k plan and receive an employer match up to 6%.
• Other Benefits: This position is eligible for annual cash bonuses up to 1% and a 1% profit-sharing bonus to 401k accounts based on company performance.

• Originate deposit accounts including checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposit
• Collaborate with your team to achieve sales, service and community goals
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications And Requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 year experience in a financial institution
• Minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
