Job summary

PacificSource is seeking a Member Support Specialist in Oregon to work with the case management team, supporting members both telephonically and in person. You will help members navigate the healthcare system, coordinate resources, and liaise with providers to improve health outcomes.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, data accuracy, and effective communication while assisting with referrals, transportation, and non-clinical care transitions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in community services or healthcare coordination.
• Experience in health insurance and delivering group presentations preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Develop goals/plans with the case manager to help members navigate the healthcare system.
• Educate members on understanding and using their benefits.
• Use motivational interviewing to engage members toward optimal health outcomes.
