A financial mentoring organization is seeking current or former Wisconsin public school employees for part-time Member Benefits Consultant roles. This position involves assisting educators in financial decisions related to retirement programs. Ideal candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and the necessary licenses or willingness to obtain them. This role offers flexibility and the chance to support fellow educators.

WEA Member Benefits (Member Benefits) seeks extraordinary current or former Wisconsin public school employees interested in working part-time as Member Benefits Consultants. Successful candidates will have a familiarity with the Wisconsin educational community as well as a deep understanding of the financial needs and concerns of K–12 public school employees. Working as a consultant for Member Benefits provides personal satisfaction and enjoyment, an opportunity to stay connected to the educational community, and extra income.

Steve was a band director for 34 years for elementary through high school students (Westfield and De Pere). “I loved it.” His wife is a fulltime technology training specialist at the elementary schools in De Pere.
Dave Olson
While co-owning and managing his family premium ice cream business in Chippewa Falls for 25 years, Dave also taught business and marketing courses atChippewa Valley Technical College for several years. His wife Mary is a retired elementary teacher of 36 years. “As we go through life, circumstances change, but there’s almost always some extra funds that can be set aside to help us reach our retirement goals.”
Mark taught high school science for 35 years and coached high school and college football in Ripon. He was very involved in his association locally and nationally. “That spirit of serving members continues today in my work as an MBC.”
Bruce Winchester
Bruce taught literature, law, and economics for the Elk Mound Area School District. He also enjoyed coaching basketball and academic decathlon.
John Anderson
John retired after 28 years of teaching chemistry and life sciences at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids. He is also currently involved in developing a sustainable agriculture project in Honduras.
Michael was a High School Math, AP Statistics and Theater teacher for 34 years, retiring in 2023 after spending his final 28 years in the Milton School District. Michael and his wife also help lead Project Maria – a non-profit focused on assisting families coping with eating disorders.
Rachel Williams
Rachel retired from the School District of Omro, where she spent 23 years working with staff and students as the high school counselor. Prior to that, she worked as a bank teller and math teacher and served as the treasurer of the Omro Area Scholarship and Education Foundation. As a Member Benefits Consultant, she gets a combination of her two favorite things: people and numbers!
