Responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing.
• Identify member needs and offer suitable solutions using a consultative approach.
• Educate members on self-serve tech and digital solutions.
• Maintain records and perform branch-level tasks such as end-of-day balancing.
• Refer members to internal partners for investments, mortgage, or lending.

The starting pay for this role is $21.31- $23 per hour, based on experience.

About the role:

Dedicated to enhancing lives in a universal service retail environment with cross-functional responsibilities in both a teller and foundational member service capacity. Consistently uncovers members' needs, offers appropriate solutions, and provides accurate resolution to members' inquiries and concerns.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Processes wide variety of financial transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and check cashing.
• Uncovers existing and potential members’ needs and recommend solutions to improve their financial well-being using a sales through service consultative approach. Conducts basic member service and loan functions such as consumer accounts, disputes, account maintenance and unsecured loans or transitions members to the appropriate next level teammate who can assist with more advanced products or services, such as collateralized loans or business accounts.
• Proactively educates members on emerging and existing self-serve technology and digital solutions such as mobile/online banking, bill pay, remote deposit capture and ITM services.
• Ensures appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared. Performs branch specific functions as needed, including but not limited to end of day balancing, and night drop.
• Recognizes referral opportunities and refers members to internal business partners for specialized services including investments, mortgage, or commercial lending.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience:Minimum two (2) years of financial institution experience in member service or cash operations or comparable experience in cash handling, customer service, or sales experience.
• Education/Certifications/Licenses: A high school degree or equivalent
• Interpersonal Skills:A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically, it includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
