Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a production operator for the Mapleton, IL area to join our foundry operations. The role involves monitoring a melting station, analyzing control signals, and actively controlling melting processes to ensure safe, efficient production.

Shift work is required, with 2nd or 3rd shifts available. Ideal candidates have at least two years of work experience, basic math skills, and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Analyzes control signals
• Controls melting operations
• Detects deviations and initiates corrective action

Basic Qualifications:

• Two years of prior work experience

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodations):

• Ability to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 pounds
• Ability to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shift
• Ability to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment

Top candidates will also have:

• Previous foundry or manufacturing experience
• Math skills

Additional Information:

• Positions are for 2nd Shift OR 3rd Shift
• Positions are in Mapleton, IL
• There is no relocation offered for these positions.

Salary Range

$23.22- $28.50
