Job summary

Caterpillar in Sumter, SC is seeking a manufacturing associate for on-site work on the Day shift. You will induct, load, unload parts, maintain chemical systems, and calibrate precision equipment. Overtime and weekend hours may be required, with starting pay rate and comprehensive benefits.

Ability to read blueprints and perform maintenance on conveyors are essential. The role offers growth and competitive compensation with a strong benefits package including 401(k) match and education

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Induct, load, and unload piece parts.
• Maintain and add prescribed chemistry as required.
• Clean electrical contacts as required.
• Perform chemical dumps. Maintain tank levels and temperatures as required.
• Record daily pressure readings for hoods and scrubber mesh pads per EPA directives.
• Setup, use, and ensure proper calibration of precision measuring equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.
• Read/interpret blueprints to ensure quality products.
• Perform all maintenance on conveyor system: filter system, pumping system, hydraulic system, and tanks.
• Maintain spare parts and tooling inventory.
• Ensure proper makeup of tank chemistry.
• Adjust recipes to salvage undersized materials.

Additional information:

• Starting pay rate: $20.90/hour
• Day Shift: M-TH, 6:00am -4:00pm
• Successful candidates must be able to work overtime when required including weekends.

Summary Pay Range:

$20.90 - $27.10
