Job summary

Reliable Sprinkler Co. in Columbia, PA is seeking a Melt Crew member for full-time manufacturing work in the Melt department. You will safely handle molten metal at high temperatures and support daily furnace operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining ladles and refractory, preparing pouring ladles, and cooperating with a safety-focused team. Weekend and overtime availability is required; a tow motor license and safety trainings (LOTO, confined space) are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
• Must be able to discern imperfections, understand quality of repairs of iron holders / ladles.
• Must be able to understand basic addition to tally units per training.
• Must be able to learn job duties and locations from verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Interact with liquid metal at temperatures exceeding (2800) degrees.
• Maintain holders / ladles and repairs on the furnace including daily patches, repairs and relining the refractory.
• Prepare the pouring ladles for daily use; pouring metal into ladles.
• Ability to take direction from supervisor; understanding temperatures; molten iron safety; assisting with the cleaning/maintaining furnaces ladles.
• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner.
