Job summary

Nucor in Crawfordsville, IN seeks a Level 1 Process Control Engineer to manage automation systems including design, upgrades, programming, and testing. You will lead projects from selection through acceptance, work with Maintenance and Operations, and help develop maintenance teams to optimize operations.

Safety is paramount; candidates must uphold safety policies, practices, and housekeeping while adapting to weekend/holiday shifts and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in industrial process control/automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from selection through final testing and acceptance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to provide technical expertise.
• Assist in developing maintenance teams and optimizing operations.
• Schedule flexibility including weekends, holidays, shifting rotations, and overtime.
• Uphold safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times.
