Job summary

CMC is seeking personnel to support our construction reinforcement and steel products operations in Sayreville, New Jersey. You will operate equipment such as forklifts and cranes, and install refractory bricks during 8-12 hour shifts, contributing to site maintenance and safety.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while adhering to procedures and quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work with exposure to temperature variations, dust, fumes and loud noise.
• Must be dependable with attendance and able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment: fork truck, overhead crane, articulating boom.
• Install refractory bricks for 8-12 hour shifts (bricks 5-40 lbs each).
• Maintain inventory of refractory supplies and equipment.
• Follow job standards and procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping of the work area.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for daily housekeeping duties including but not limited to immediate work area

• Ability to work with exposure to extremes in temperature, chemical, dust fumes and mists, uneven surfaces, loud noise, elevated work areas, and confined spaces
• Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, with excellent strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
• Must be able to learn quickly and multitask
• Ability to work overtime as necessary outside of normally scheduled shift with little or no advance notification required, including weekends and holidays

Your Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
