Job summary

Neenah Foundry Company is seeking an entry-level Melt role to help on the molding lines. The position requires the ability to work in a loud, warm, physically demanding environment, stand for long periods, and move heavy materials with safety in mind.

Responsibilities include monitoring furnace conditions, taking readings, operating a variety of equipment (cupola, ladles, furnaces, crane, bobcat, forklift), loading/unloading rail cars, and maintaining a clean production area.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
• Able to read and follow work instructions.
• Cannot be afraid of heights.

Responsibilities

• Monitor furnace conditions and take readings.
• Operate and maintain equipment (cupola, ladles, furnaces) and machinery.
• Move and process materials and scrap.
• Load/unload rail cars and operate yard crane, bobcat and forklift.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in production area.
• Prepare and adjust chemistry over iron and charge cupola.
• Handle 8–12 hour shifts and overtime as needed.
