Job summary

KSB, Inc. is seeking a Foundry Employee Level 1 – Melting at the Grovetown, GA facility. The role involves PPE-compliant operations in the melting area, mold setup, slagging and ladle handling, and precise use of cranes and forklifts.

You will read gauges, follow SOPs, and document inspections while supporting team leads to maintain safe, efficient production. High school diploma or GED is required, with emphasis on safety, manual dexterity, and the ability to work varied shifts to support

Qualifications

• Wear all PPE required and follow GIW Safety guidelines.
• Read and interpret work instructions and SOPs.
• Read a tape measure accurately for mold setup and inspection.
• Set up and sand molds; bolt up closed molds per requirements.
• Inspect molds with a borescope camera and document results.
• Operate overhead crane, skid steer, forklift and dump trucks safely.
• Patch ladles and perform slagging off ladles during pouring.
• Follow directions from team leads and supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the melting deck area safely.
• Keep the work area clean and organized; ensure pouring floor is secured.
• Set up and sand molds, verify riser height, and inspect finished items.
• Document inspection forms for cranes, forklifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts.
• Read and follow SOPs; maintain equipment and tooling in good condition.
