Job summary

NANA Worley is seeking a MEL Specialist to implement and maintain data control for the Master Equipment List, ensuring tagging accuracy, data integrity, and compliance with procedures. You will support engineering and project teams by researching data, performing field verifications, and driving MEL process improvements.

The role requires knowledge of SAP S/4 and Winshuttle, ability to read technical drawings, and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, college coursework, technical training, or equivalent work experience in engineering technology, business, records management, information management, computer systems, or a related field.
• Exposure to SAP, engineering documentation, equipment databases, P&IDs, or similar technical systems is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to learn technical concepts, follow established procedures, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
• One (1) year of P&ID or engineering design experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP S/4, Winshuttle, asset management systems, or similar enterprise software is preferred.
• Familiarity with equipment data, maintenance systems, engineering records, document control processes, or related information management functions is preferred
• Ability to learn and apply equipment tagging standards, maintenance concepts, and data governance requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation, or willingness to develop these skills through training and on-the-job experience
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and learn new systems, tools, and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn database and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• MEL Data Management & System Integrity: Creates and maintains equipment tags, MEL records, and functional locations in SAP S/4.
• MEL Request Processing: Processes MEL requests and updates MEL records.
• SAP / Winshuttle Operations: Executes equipment and functional location uploads using Winshuttle; troubleshoots issues.
• Module Request Processing: Assign module number and coordinate SAP updates with IT.
• Audit & Quality Assurance Responsibilities: Supports MEL data audits and coordinates corrective actions.
• Documentation, Training & Knowledge Transfer: Develops MEL procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
• Project Support & Meeting Participation: Leads weekly MEL pulse-check meetings and cross-functional meetings.
• Communication & Coordination: Verifies MEL data with operators and engineers; communicates status updates.
