Job summary

World Vision in MEER seeks a Communications and Advocacy Specialist to support strategy development and implementation across the region. The role focuses on raising visibility and influencing outcomes through strong communications and stakeholder engagement.

You will co‑lead risk communications, media engagement, and reputation management while supporting external relations, advocacy initiatives, and child participation with field offices and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of relevant professional experience in communications, advocacy, media relations, public affairs, or external engagement.
• Experience developing and implementing communications and advocacy initiatives at national, regional, or international level.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders including media, civil society, government, donors, and community representatives.
• Experience providing communications and/or advocacy support to field teams and/or local partners.

Responsibilities

• Co‑lead risk communications, media engagement, and reputation management for MEER.
• Support external engagement, advocacy initiatives, and child participation mechanisms.
• Produce, design, publish and monitor communications and social media content across WV platforms.
• Provide technical support to Field Offices on communications, social media, advocacy, and emergency responses.
• Contribute to internal communications, regional coordination calls, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Education

University degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related field

Professional training in communications, advocacy, media relations, digital communications, or humanitarian programming
