MedTech Travel RN Device Liaison - Chicago, IL
Our MedTech Registered Nurse Liaison offers a unique opportunity to leverage clinical expertise in a dynamic role that goes beyond bedside care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and advocate for the well‑being of patients through medical device technology. You will assist the service team in device collection and facilitate room‑to‑room device upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Navigate units and coordinate with unit nurses to assist with pulling pumps as needed. Utilize clinical nursing expertise to answer questions and address concerns with the medical device.
- Collect devices in a hospital setting while collaborating with department nursing staff and field service technicians.
- Provide updates, reports, and valuable feedback during and after in‑service assignments as directed.
- Use prior hospital experience and customer service skills to ensure the device collections process does not interfere with the location’s activities.
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree (ADN or BSN) required.
- RN license required.
- Hospital or industry experience required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both department staff and technicians.
- Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, with bending, kneeling, and some lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds.
Travel Requirement
- Full‑time commitment with travel flexibility. Assignment‑based schedule with 40+ hours per week; travel nationally to support customer needs. There is no guaranteed 40+ hours per week, but it is expected.
- Driving is a business requirement. Valid driver’s license and driving record review prior to hire.
- Personal vehicle required for job‑related assignments up to 3 hours from home.
- Located within 1 hour of a major airport. Travel and time traveling are paid.
Preferred Attributes
- Emergency Room or ICU experience preferred.
- Leadership experience (manager, educator, preceptor) can be helpful but is not required.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision.

Potential base pay range for this role is $35.00 - $37.00 per hour. Final offer depends on qualifications, location, schedule, and benefits. Incentives or additional compensation may be offered as applicable.
