We seek a Supplier Development Engineer to own supplier qualification, cost and lead-time management, and to drive early supplier involvement with R&D and design teams. You will evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, and build a scalable supply base to support new product launches, ensuring quality and manufacturability while balancing risk and cost in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or related Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in sourcing, supplier development, procurement, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience with NPI: bring components from design to production.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes.
• Strong commercial/negotiation skills for RFQs and supplier development.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and supplier qualification is a plus.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and data systems; Odoo / Snowflake a plus.
• Curiosity and ownership in fast-paced cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing for new product introduction: identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers.
• Partner with R&D and Design Engineering to translate drawings into sourcing requirements.
• Lead supplier selection, RFQs, cost and lead-time analysis, and onboarding.
• Drive qualification activities with Quality and Manufacturing; support PPAP/validation.
• Apply engineering judgment to manufacturing processes to optimize cost and manufacturability.
• Build and manage supply base balancing risk, cost, lead time and capacity.
• Resolve supplier issues, drive corrective actions, prevent recurrence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing and NPI processes.
