Job summary

IQVIA MedTech Field Service Engineer is sought to travel nationwide, install and maintain medical laboratory diagnostic equipment in hospitals, and provide exceptional customer service. The role requires up to date immunizations, credentialing, and a valid driver’s license for local travel.

This position emphasizes hands-on repairs, hardware/software configuration, and coordination with healthcare professionals to deliver reliable service across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or related field.
• 3-5+ years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of medical laboratory diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting.
• Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience.
• Professional business acumen and effective communication skills.
• Self-motivated individual who can work independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to respond to clients by traveling when needed to address repairs or maintenance.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to ensure on-time completion of project assignments.
• An active and unrestricted driver license, and a personal vehicle for local work-related assignments.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 70 pounds, required.
• Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements.
• Position may/will require up to date immunizations.

Please Note: This is a 100% travel position. Local, Regional and National travelrequired.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff.
• Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and network products.

Schedule

• Assignment-based schedule with 30-40 hour commitment per week and overtime as needed. This role comes with a guarantee of 24 hours per week but the expected work is up to 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical School in biomedical engineering or
• 3-5+ years’ experience in the repair, maintenance, and installation of medical laboratory diagnostic equipment used in a laboratory setting in lieu of education based on experience.
• Biomedical, hardware, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic repair and troubleshooting experience is required.

Travel Requirement

• Full-time commitment with travel flexibility.
• Assignment-based schedule with 40+ hour commitment per week. Travel nationally to support customer needs. There is not a guarantee of 40+ hours per week in this role, but it is theask.
• Driving is considered a business requirement for this role. Candidates mustpossessa valid driver’s license and will be subject to a review of their driving record prior tohire.
• Personal vehiclerequiredfor job-related assignments up to 3 hours from home.
• Located within 1 hour of a major airport.
• Travel, and your time traveling is paid.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in biomedical, networking, military, or field-based technician roles
• Experience working in a technical role within a healthcare environment.
• Strong computer skills and comfort with troubleshooting with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and OneNote, etc.
