Job summary

IQVIA is seeking Field Service Technicians to troubleshoot, repair, and update medical devices in hospitals across the United States, with on-site team support.   • 3+ years’ experience in field technical role with focus on both hardware and software installations preferred.
  • Experience in field service, engineering, biomedical, maintenance, electronics, electrical, technical work, or IT is preferred for this position.
  • Prior military veterans with experience in an electronics, maintenance, or IT related MOS encouraged to apply!
  • Professional business acumen including communication and soft skills required.
  • Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating system.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work independently in customer settings with minimal supervision required.

Job description

Our Field Service Technicians experience a unique opportunity to employ their technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and leading technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and updating medical devices in hospitals throughout the United States, with the support of an on-site team.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Organizing, testing, and updating medical devices, installing, and configuring hardware, software, and network products.
  • Set-up and organization of equipment and workstations.
  • Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration.
  • Manage project timelines and customer needs.
Schedule:
  • Part-time commitment requiring travel and flexibility with typical weeks entailing 40+ hours of work.
  • Assignment-based schedule that typically requires 1 - 3 weeks onsite.
  • 3 weeks of open availability a month required.
  • Travel nationally to support customer needs.
Travel Needs:
  • An active and unrestricted driver license is required for this position.
  • Must have a personal vehicle and be willing to use it for job related assignments up to 3 hours from home.
  • Must be located within 1 hour of a major airport.
Required Qualifications:

  • Biomedical Technician experience is a plus but not necessary.

Individuals are typically required to have completed/up to date: Measles, Mumps & Rubella vaccine, Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine, Negative Tuberculosis (TB) Test, Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, Hepatitis B vaccine, Influenza vaccine (seasonal), and COVID-19 vaccine primary series (heavily enforced by most facilities, some require booster(s)). Payment:

The potential base pay range for this role is $27-$30 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
