Job summary

Inlet Coastal Resort in Murrells Inlet, SC is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to join our resident care team. The role administers medications on physician orders, maintains schedules, and supports residents’ safety and well-being. Full-time; 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with weekend/holiday shifts as needed.

Ideal candidates have SC med-tech certification, at least 3 years in senior care, strong documentation skills, and a team-oriented mindset to care for residents with dementia.

Qualifications

• Current medication technician certification or required South Carolina credentials.
• At least 3 years experience in senior-care settings.
• Experience in assisted living/memory care preferred.
• Proficient in medication documentation and infection-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications according to physician orders and community policies.
• Document medication administration in QuickMAR.
• Maintain medication schedules and ensure timely dosing.
• Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and changes in condition.
• Report concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
• Review medication records for accuracy.
• Assist with inventory, storage, ordering, and disposal.
• Follow infection-control practices and medication-management procedures.
• Provide resident care and daily assistance as required.
• Communicate with residents, families, nurses, caregivers, and other care team members.

Inlet Coastal Resort is seeking a compassionate, organized, and dependable Medication Technician to join our resident care team.

The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications accurately and on schedule while supporting residents’ overall safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a senior-living or memory-care environment.

Qualifications

• Current medication technician certification or required South Carolina medication-administration credentials
• 3 years experience or more required
• Previous assisted living, memory care, long-term care, or senior-care experience required
• Experience using QuickMAR is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and medication-documentation skills
• Ability to recognize and promptly report changes in a resident’s condition
• Dependable transportation and a record of punctual, consistent attendance
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Experience caring for individuals living with dementia is preferred
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position

Responsibilities

Weekends' and holidays' availability are required based on the schedule.
