Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse in Medical-Surgical/Med Telemetry on 2B, 36 hours per week, 7a-7p with rotating weekends. You will assess, plan, intervene, and educate patients, collaborate with the care team, maintain records, and participate in quality improvement.

Requires Nursing Diploma/ASN/BSN, RN license in MA and BLS; prior Med/Surg experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma/degree required or preferred.
• Current RN license in MA and BLS certification.
• Prior acute Med/Surg experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Med/Surg/Ticare settings, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
• Communicate with the health care team, patients, and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and charting.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow nursing guidelines and policies established by BMC.
• Assist leadership with quality improvement projects.

Education

Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred)

BSN within 4 years
