Job summary

TMS is hiring an RN for an in-office role in Des Moines, IA, delivering MedSurg nursing care with a focus on safety and patient outcomes. You’ll monitor vitals, document care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize treatment plans, discharge planning, and ongoing professional growth.

The role requires IA licensure, prior med-surg experience, and strong skills in vitals monitoring and EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• RN licensed to practice in Iowa (IA)
• Med-Surg nursing experience preferred
• Proficient in vital signs monitoring and neurovascular checks

Responsibilities

• Provide MedSurg nursing care to patients with accuracy and safety.
• Monitor patient vitals, reassess plans, and adjust care as conditions change.
• Document care activities and patient outcomes in electronic health records.
• Identify and escalate safety concerns and potential complications promptly.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and facility policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and pursue advancement opportunities.

Experience/Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the state, med-surg specialty preferred.
• Proven med-surg nursing experience with acute patient care.
• Vital signs monitoring, neurovascular checks, and escalation of concerns.
• Accurate documentation in electronic health records and care plans.
• Compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborative care within multidisciplinary teams for treatment planning.
• Evidence-based practice adoption to improve patient outcomes.
• Use of performance metrics and pipelines to track progress toward targets.
• Patient and family education on care plans, meds, and discharge.
