Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required for RN practice.
• RN license issued by Florida or a Compact State.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be required.
• NIHSS and STROKE-related certifications may be required depending on unit.
• Unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze patients' health status on MedSurg unit.
• Document assessments and communicate plans to healthcare team.
• Initiate discharge planning during admission.
• Plan and coordinate patient care with patient and family.
• Transcribe physician orders and provide patient education.
• Monitor outcomes and adjust care per policy.
