Job summary

Orlando Regional Medical Center (ORMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for Acute Care in the 5A MedSurg Unit. This full-time position covers 3x12 day shifts, delivering comprehensive patient care within an acute care setting.

The RN will assess patients, develop care plans, document care, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure safety and quality outcomes for diverse patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Florida RN license or valid eNLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas; NRP for NICU.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Evaluate patient progress toward expected outcomes.
• Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Communicate with patients and families effectively.
• Document patient care and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support unit education and mentoring of staff and students.
