Job summary

SpaceX seeks a Medium Voltage Electrician to support installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment. You’ll work with energized gear and assist in high- and medium-voltage environments under supervision.

Responsibilities include testing, diagram reading, and coordinating with teams. A strong safety mindset, hands-on skills, and willingness to train are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years as a licensed electrician.
• Associate degree in electrical/mechanical/industrial maintenance technology preferred.
• Ability to read basic prints/drawings and use common test tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair substation equipment under supervision.
• Perform basic routine maintenance on high- and medium-voltage systems.
• Conduct entry-level electrical testing with meters and equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and work orders.
• Troubleshoot simple electrical, mechanical, and control issues under supervision.
• Follow lockout/tagout, grounding, and safety protocols (PPE, rescue techniques).
• Assist in station switching, outages, and coordinating with crews.
• Document work performed, test results, and observations; prepare basic reports.
• Operate vehicles and PPE storage; assist with training and drills.
