Job summary

Parks Truck Center - Charlotte is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to service medium- and heavy-duty trucks. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of trucks, following dealer and factory standards.

The role requires diesel experience, a valid license, and the ability to work without sponsorship. We offer flat-rate pay up to $50 per hour for experienced technicians, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and a 5-day work week with no Saturdays or Sundays.

Qualifications

• Diesel Technician experience is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• ASE certification is preferred not required.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
• Must pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy to dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Notify service advisor if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean.
• Keep shop area neat and account for all dealership-owned tools.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents immediately.

• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste
• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor
