Job description

Job Title: Medium Production Operator

The Medium Production Operator reports to the Leavenworth Production Center and may work across multiple departments. They operate a variety of medium presses, applying different processes to various products.

Shift Details

This position is on 3rd Shift (11:30pm - 8:00am), Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

1. Set up and operate various medium presses, including make-ready procedures and adjustments.
2. Operate tooling machinery and perform maintenance as needed.
3. Conduct quality checks, including preflight, sampling, and removal of salvage/spoilage.
4. Record production data into SAP.
5. Perform press maintenance and cleaning, including TPM/MIRCs.
6. Follow proper start-up and shut-down procedures.
7. Transport and handle hazardous waste materials per regulations.
8. Set up presses following detailed layouts.
9. Pack, label, and organize finished stock.
10. Operate power lift equipment and skid inverting machines.
11. Adhere to safety practices and actively engage in troubleshooting and performance improvement.

Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs frequently and 60 lbs occasionally.
• Pass color perception testing.
• Stand and walk constantly.
• Perform reaching, twisting, bending, and fine motor tasks.
• Work occasionally at or above shoulder level.
• Experience as a Packaging or Press Operator or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong math, communication, and learning skills.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
• Good organizational skills.
