Job summary

ACTS Fleet Maintenance in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Diesel/Fleet Technician to keep commercial fleets safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment, using advanced diagnostic tools, while documenting work and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience working on diesel engines, fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, or commercial trucks.
  • Medium- or heavy-duty diesel repair experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience using electronic diagnostic software and equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and major mechanical repairs.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus but not required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and scheduled services.
  • Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment.
  • Troubleshoot engine, electrical, air, hydraulic, suspension, and brake systems using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Identify potential issues before they become costly breakdowns.
  • Accurately document repairs and inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Work closely with a team committed to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

As a Diesel/Fleet Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our customers' commercial fleets safe, reliable, and operating at their best.

Responsibilities include:
