Job summary

ACTS Fleet in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician (Medium & Heavy-Duty) to maintain and repair fleet trucks both in-shop and in the field. You will focus on uptime, safety, and first-time fixes with strong diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, diagnosing diesel engines, advanced diagnostics, and working on brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, and transmissions. CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience as a diesel technician.
• Advanced diagnostic ability with diesel engines.
• North Carolina State Inspection Certification.
• Familiarity with OEM scan tools and aftermarket tools.
• Ability to work independently and follow structured processes.

Diesel Technician (Medium & Heavy-Duty)

The Work

You'll work on medium and heavy-duty commercial trucks and fleet vehicles - both in-shop and in the field - with a focus on uptime, safety, and getting repairs done right the first time.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
