Snapshot of Your Day

As a member of the Medium Gas Turbine (MGT) Field Service Team, you will travel extensively across the United States and North America, with occasional international opportunities. Serving as an MGT Technician on-site, you will be the key hands-on link between Siemens Energy and our clients. This fully remote position is based in Deer Park, Texas, providing service and technical support for the MGT product line, including SGT-600, SGT-700, SGT-750, and SGT-800. Your services will encompass mechanical disassembly, inspection, reassembly, commissioning during outages, long-term service contracts, and modernization projects.


How You Will Make an Impact
  • Maintain a zero-harm culture by adhering to all EHS policies and programs.
  • Manage all aspects of equipment installation and service inspections/outages on MGT units, with cross-training in related product families.
  • Plan, perform, and coordinate onsite service and maintenance activities, working with project and engineering teams to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Conduct and supervise mechanical inspections such as visual, borescope, filter changes, and valve servicing, ensuring accurate standards and documentation.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for extended periods; must have a valid passport, pass background checks, and drug testing. International travel may involve developing countries.
  • Perform duties on day or night shifts under challenging conditions, with short-notice travel, weekends, and holidays.
What You Bring
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years of experience in oil and gas or power generation; experience with Mechanical, Industrial, or Aeroderivative Gas Turbines preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical equipment strip/rebuild, auxiliary systems, borescope inspections, and laser alignment is a plus.
  • Ability to produce detailed technical reports and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
  • Experience with gas turbine outages in power or oil and gas industries is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and passport, or ability to obtain them.
