Job summary

The City of Woonsocket in Rhode Island is seeking a Medium Equipment Operator to maintain and operate a range of motorized equipment for road and sidewalk repairs. The role requires operating heavy machinery as needed under the direction of Public Works.

Applicants must hold a CDL and a Hoisting Engineering License to operate a backhoe, and have at least one year of prior machine operating experience. This is an in-person, full-time position with a 40-hour work week.

MEDIUM EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (Highway & Parks Division) The City of Woonsocket, Rhode Island is conducting a search for a Medium Equipment Operator. Working under the direction of the Director of Public Works, the person in this position will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of motorized equipment used for construction, as well as street and sidewalk repairs. Operating of heavy equipment as needed. The person in this position must possess a CDL and a Hoisting Engineering License to operate a backhoe. Must have at least one (1) Year Prior Machine Operating Experience.
