Job description

Classification: Contract

Duration: 6 months

Location: Remote

CereCore is looking to hire a MEDITECH MAGIC Order Entry (OE) Analyst to play a key role in optimizing clinical workflows and order set management across our healthcare environments. Qualified candidates will possess a deep expertise in MEDITECH MAGIC CPOE/Order Entry, strong experience building and managing order sets, and a solid understanding of clinical workflows in a hospital setting. This is a remote position and will require participation in a rotating on-call schedule (Thursday to Thursday, 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM CST).

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in the MEDITECH MAGIC Order Entry (CPOE) module, with a focus on configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize complex order sets to support clinical workflows across departments.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and operational stakeholders to translate clinical requirements into effective system configurations.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of clinical workflows to recommend system enhancements that support safety, efficiency, and usability.
  • Participate in the team’s after-hours on-call rotation to support urgent needs and system issues (Thursday to Thursday, 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM CST).
  • Advise clients on best practices and optimal use of the OE module to improve adoption and clinical outcomes.
  • Develop documentation and content for internal teams and external clients, including workflow diagrams, configuration details, and user support materials.
  • Proactively engage in knowledge sharing and peer-to-peer education to support team development.
  • Drive communication and alignment with clients, ensuring shared understanding of project timelines, deliverables, risks, and goals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, incorporating feedback and industry trends to enhance system performance and clinician satisfaction.
  • Participate in strategic planning and support the development of project scopes and statements of work.

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working with the MEDITECH MAGIC platform, with deep expertise in the Order Entry (CPOE) module.
  • Strong experience building and optimizing order sets within MEDITECH MAGIC.
  • Solid understanding of advanced clinical workflows and how technology supports patient care delivery.
  • Clinical background (nursing, pharmacy, etc.) highly preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a project team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organization and documentation skills; attention to detail and ownership of deliverables.
  • Ability to coach others and provide guidance on technical and functional solutions.
  • Professional demeanor, adaptability, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and clinical/technical experience.
  • Clinical education (e.g., nursing degree, pharmacy degree, etc.) preferred but not required.
