Job summary

RayzeBio, a Bristol Myers Squibb company based in San Diego, is seeking a Scientist, Chemistry. The role focuses on designing and synthesizing novel chemical constructs as potential radiopharmaceutical therapies for cancer, working on small molecules and peptide analogs to optimize potency and pharmacokinetics.

You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advance lead identification and optimization, and contribute to publications and IP while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years or PhD with 0 years in relevant field.
• Experience in RPTs, ADCs, or PDCs is highly desirable.
• Strong background in synthetic organic, medicinal or peptide chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize small molecules and peptide analogs for SAR campaigns.
• Develop SAR on projects and synthesize target molecules to test hypotheses.
• Plan and execute organic syntheses; use purification and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with chemists, DMPK, imaging and in vitro/vivo teams.
• Support target identification, initiation of new RPT projects.
• Present findings in interdisciplinary teams and contribute to IP filings.
