Job summary

Platinum Communities is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician to provide high quality personal care and oversee medication administration for residents and tenants in our Wisconsin community.

You will collaborate with nursing and dietary staff, review ISPs, monitor conditions, maintain accurate medication records, and mentor new caregiving staff while upholding HIPAA and DHS regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of CBRF medication administration training and required CBRF core trainings.
• Previous caregiving experience in a CBRF or RCAC setting preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and team oriented.
• Understanding of and commitment to HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.
• Flexible and available to work beyond regularly scheduled hours, as well as weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to learn new technology.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration & Health Monitoring: administer meds per Six Rights and maintain records.
• Caregiving & Resident Support: assist with ADLs and follow ISP plans.
• Housekeeping & Environment Maintenance: keep living areas clean and sanitary.
• Collaboration & Cross-Departmental Support: assist dietary and activities teams; promote safety.
• Training & Mentorship: mentor new caregiving staff and support onboarding.
• HIPAA & Confidentiality Compliance: protect resident information and report breaches.
• Other Responsibilities: attend meetings and maintain professional conduct.
