Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our team. As a Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, safety, and well‑being of our residents by ensuring medications are administered accurately and on time while building meaningful relationships with the people we serve.

What You'll Do
  • Safely administer and document medications according to physician orders and community policies
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition
  • Accurately obtain and document vital signs when required
  • Communicate resident concerns and medication‑related issues to nursing leadership and healthcare providers
  • Assist residents with medication reminders and self‑administration when appropriate
  • Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
  • Ensure medication carts, storage areas, and medication supplies are organized and compliant
  • Work closely with caregivers, nurses, physicians, pharmacies, residents, and families
  • Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life
  • Participate in ongoing training, education, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the community during shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations
