Job summary

Frontier Senior Living in Spring, TX, is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician for the Solace Glen at Cypresswood community. This full-time position offers a Swing/Evening shift (2PM–10PM) and a competitive hourly wage of $16.50–$17.00, with strengths in patient care and medication administration.

You will administer medications, maintain confidentiality, monitor residents, assist with care needs, and collaborate with care teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English required for resident interaction.
• Willingness to participate in monthly in-services.
• Ability to follow medication administration protocol.
• Commitment to resident confidentiality and privacy.
• Willingness to lift up to 40 pounds and assist in daily care.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per schedule.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents and staff information.
• Notifies care team of changes in condition.
• Assists with monthly medication records and documentation.
• Maintains Med room and cart organization and stock levels.
• Supports caregiver and receptionist duties as needed.
• Adheres to safety, First Aid/CPR, and medication training requirements.

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Medication Technician for the Solace Glen at Cypresswood community located in Spring, TX.

We currently have the following Shifts and Schedules available for this position:

• Full-Time: Swing/Evening Shift, 2PM - 10PM

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administers the medications and treatments, according to the scheduled times, following the medication administration protocol
• Maintains confidentiality of resident and fellow employee’s information
• Notifies Resident Care Coordinator / Executive Director / RN of resident changes of condition
• Assists with monthly medication records as needed
• Maintains the cleanliness, organization, and restocking of the Med room and Med cart
• Has knowledge of, and can demonstrate proper technique, or can learn how to assist with: a gait belt, sit to stand lift, transfer board, oxygen equipment, C-Pap, Nebulizer, catheter, specimen, transfer pole, trapeze, wheelchair, scale, and other equipment as directed by the Resident Care Coordinator / RN
• Capable of taking accurate vital signs and weights
• Fill-in for the receptionist as directed by Executive Director / Resident Care Coordinator
• Fill in for a caregiver when needed
• Capable of assisting in care needs of residents, which might include lifting requirements up to 40 pounds
• Work as manager on duty as directed by Executive Director / Resident Care Coordinator
• Keep current on First Aid / CPR and Medication Administration skills
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or other management staff
